2013 Extreme Sailing Series™ final Act 8 from Florianópolis Brazil (video)



Countdown to the 2013 Extreme Sailing Series™ final - Act 8, Florianópolis presented by Land Rover: "After nine months of global competition the Extreme Sailing Series™ heads to Brazil and a brand new stadium in Florianópolis for the final Act of 2013. Five teams -- one Omani, two Swiss, one Austrian and one Danish - are in the running for a podium finish and four days of competition between the 14-17 November, presented by Land Rover, will determine the outcome. Jane Piereth, a Benicia resident, was initially hired to start a program to train people to sail so they would have the skills to help the skippers on boats that the Ocean Society Bay Area chapter used to perform water quality sampling in the Bay. She instituted a sailing camp in 1983, the program that's been the hallmark of SEA for 30 years and which will be celebrated at an event on Saturday. . . ."
