Clipper 2019-20 Race | Whitsundays Clipper Race Carnival

Clipper Round the World Yacht Race video above: The Clipper Race will once again stop in the wonderous Whitsundays, take a look back at the Whitsundays Clipper Race Carnival from the 2017-18 edition for what is in store for the crew and supporters during the stopover at the end of the 3,400nm race from Fremantle. The fleet is expected to arrive into the Coral Sea Marina | Resort in Airlie Beach between 9-12 January 2020.

Clipper Race Video: Henri Lloyd Hobart To Whitsundays Race 6

START: THE HENRI LLOYD HOBART TO WHITSUNDAYS RACE (6) --

After a couple of days to catch their breath and recover from New Year celebrations the Clipper Race fleet returned to the water 2 January 2016 for the Henri Lloyd Hobart to Whitsundays Race. Following the fleet's successful Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race (see video further below) campaign, the sixth race of the 14-race series, The Henri Lloyd Hobart to Whitsundays Race, will see the fleet race more than 1,600 nautical miles from the Tasmanian port of Hobart to Abell Point Marina in Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia. Qingdao was first to cross the start line, followed by Derry~Londonderry~Doire in second and LMAX Exchange third. More info here.

Race 5 in the Clipper 2015-16 Race series took on the 71st Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. One of the toughest for many years. The Clipper Race teams and fleet took it in their stride, despite the fact that over 30 boats of the original108 entries failed to make it to Hobart.
