Three people and two pets rescued from sailboat in heavy seas:
"Once on scene, the helicopter crew decided not to hoist directly to and from the sailboat as the weather had gotten worse with 45-knot winds and nine-foot seas. The helicopter crew lowered a rescue swimmer into the water, who swam to the sailboat and assisted each person into the water and then to the rescue basket. All three people on board, as well as a cat and a dog were hoisted into the helicopter."
