The 2018 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup featured some of the world’s most imposing yachts in close competition. From 2–8 September, world-class crews raced an impressive fleet of Maxis, ranging in size from just over 18 metres (60 feet) up to 44 metres (144 feet). Organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), together with the International Maxi Association and Title Sponsor Rolex, the 29th edition came to an exciting finish, with Rolex timepieces awarded for overall honours to Topaz in the Supermaxi class, Grande Orazio in Maxi, Lyra in Wally and SuperNikka, H2O in Mini Maxi Group 1 and Group 2 and MOMO, crowned World Champion in the Rolex Maxi 72 World Championship.
