RSHYR 2018 – Kialoa II - Post-Race Interview with Paddy Broughton

RSHYR 2018 – Kialoa II Interview with Paddy Broughton

In 2017 Kialoa II finished the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race in a very respectable time, despite breaking her boom on the first day. In 2018 this Sparkman and Stephens classic reveled in the strong downwind running of the first day with 5 sails flying, stuck it out through some light patches mid race and then finished her run with a typical upwind thrash around Tasman Island and across Storm Bay in 30 plus knots, arriving in Hobart with no damage at all. Crosbie Lorimer video above first published Dec 31, 2018.
