Alpari World Match Racing Tour - 2012 Video Highlights

2012 AWMRT Review - Video Highlights Show
The 2012 Alpari World Match Racing Tour, the worlds leading professional sailing series, consisted of eight world championship events around the globe. Starting in May in Germany before heading to Korea, Sweden, USA, Switzerland, France, Bermuda and finally to Malaysia where the ISAF Match Racing World Champion would be crowned. Follow the fortunes of the 9 Tour Card Holders in their relentless quest to claim one of sailings most coveted prizes and a share of the $1.75 million prize money on offer. Would Ian Williams (GBR), GAC Pindar retain the title he won in 2011 or would Bjorn Hansen (SWE), Mekonomen Sailing Team and four-time Tour winner Peter Gilmour (AUS), YANMAR Racing stand in his way. Could new comers Keith Swinton (AUS), Black Swan Racing, Pierre-Antoine Morvan (FRA), Vannes Agglo Sailing Team, Laurie Jury (NZL), Kiwi Match Sailing Team and Simone Ferrarese (ITA), Ferrarese Racing Team cause a stir in their first full year on Tour or would Phil Robertson (NZL) WAKA Racing and Johnie Berntsson (SWE) Berntsson Sailing Team make realise their ambitions of lifting the Tour trophy. With eight different designs of boat to contend with and five different individual event winners the 2012 season was a roller coaster ride from start to finish and as the Tour arrived in Malaysia for the final event, the Monsoon Cup, the top 8 teams were all still able to seize the crown and the Alpari World Match Racing Tour title.
