Sailor rescued from stricken yacht off Esperance in WA's south thanks rescuers - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation): "A 68-year-old man has been rescued from a stricken yacht, 130 kilometres east of Esperance, off WA's south coast. The skipper, who was the only person onboard, activated an EPIRB about 7:30am after his mast broke. Water Police said it appeared the yacht had then washed against rocks near Miles Island...."
