Full-contact Extreme 40 sailing on Sydney Harbour | News: "With everything to play for, the Extreme 40s came out all-guns-blazing on Sydney Harbour today, for the much-anticipated final Act of the 2015 Extreme Sailing Series™ championship. On a day of costly penalties for some crews, and race-ending collisions that reduced the fleet of nine boats to just six, it was SAP Extreme Sailing Team and Oman Air that shone through finishing the day first and second respectively. In the morning press conference Oman Air’s skipper Stevie Morrison threw down the gauntlet, saying his aim for the week was to give The Wave, Muscat a “run for their money” and, with three race wins and two second place finishes, Morrison certainly held his word."

Hope Leukemia Group Queguiner Transat Jacques Vabre IMOCA 2015

A Surprise before Saturday? | Transat Jacques Vabre 2015 : Le Havre - Itajai | October 2015 | Take to the seas and act for the planet: "The early morning (CET) Saturday should see the first Ultime break the finish line off Itajaí, Brasil to take overall line honours in this 12th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre. With just under 800 miles of racing left the last 24 hours have seen Thomas Coville and Jean Luc Nélias come right back into race leaders Francois Gabart and Pascal Bidégorry, reducing their deficit from a maximum figure of over 250 miles to a margin of 120 miles this Thursday afternoon.  Second placed Coville and Nélias were on the wrong end of a rich get richer scenario during Tuesday and Wednesday, the leaders on MACIF were scything south into strengthening and lifting breeze. But today the tables turn slightly as the trade winds give way to one final unpredictable, stormy low pressure system which stands between them and Itajaí. MACIF were gaining again this afternoon, going slightly quicker, but victory is far from assured for Gabart and Bidégorry ..." read more at link above

US Sailing’s premier event is set to return to Miami, Fla. for top-level Olympic and Paralympic class racing. The event is the only North American regatta to be included in World Sailing’s 2015-16 Sailing World Cup series. The regatta is a mainstay on the winter circuit for sailors campaigning for the next Olympic and Paralympic Games. The deadline for priority entries with regards to quotas is December 4, 2015. Entries must be received by January 4, 2016 to qualify for early entry fee and will not be accepted after January 24, 2016. Rolex Middle Sea Race, Sailing Videos, 2015 Results

2014 Rolex Middle Sea Race Best Surf Moments - Amazing surf moments captured during the 2014 Rolex Middle Sea Race

Spirit of Yachting - Rolex Middle Sea Race 2014 - the 35th Rolex Middle Sea Race was one to remember. Not only for international fleet that, for the third year in a row, set a record number of entries, but for the array of conditions that the yachts faced. From no wind to too much; from flat calm to turbulent seas; from going nowhere to flying fast & furious: the 606-nm mythical racecourse offered everything. The worthy winner had to conquer the elements as well as the competition. Exceptional challenges bring out the best in exceptional characters. The Rolex Middle Sea Race was first run in 1968 and Rolex has been the title sponsor since 2002.
