Day 2 Race of the Day Extreme Sailing Series
In race three of the day, Morgan Larson and his crew on Oman Air accelerated  off the start line getting the rest off to a great start. But the Omani-flagged team were squeezed out at the top mark which resulted in a collision with Alinghi, for which Alinghi were given a penalty - while Oman Air headed downwind in fourth place. After passing through the top gate Larson thought he saw a wind shift and was the only team to head to the left side of the course as they headed back downwind -  and it paid off. He sailed into first place, leaving the rest of the fleet behind. This was the first of three race wins for Oman Air, which saw them sail into third place at the half-way stage of the regatta
