Extreme Sailing Series returns next week (video)

Porto Promo: Extreme Sailing Series prepares to return to 'best ever' Stadium Racecourse:  July 25-28 - The Extreme Sailing Series™ hits the halfway stage in just one week when eight Extreme 40 catamarans will go full throttle in one of the most compact and challenging Stadium Racecourses the Extreme 40s have ever raced on in Porto, Portugal. Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to line the banks of the river Douro on both the Porto and Gaia sides to watch the Extreme 40s in action as current Series leaders Alinghi set out to defend their position. HALFWAY TO HAWAII: "July 17, 2013, San Pedro, CA – In the last 48 hours most of the 58 entries in the 47th biennial LA-Honolulu Transpac are now at the halfway point or beyond on this 2225-mile ocean racing classic that started in three waves last week. The days have gone from cool and overcast to warm and sunny as the teams dry out, relax, and make their final downwind push to the islands."
