Race Village opens 11:30 – 18:30
Racing will run from 15:00 – 16:30 BST. All six national teams will take part in two fleet races. This will be followed by a match race final where the top highest ranked teams from the weekend will go head to head to determine the Cowes SailGP event winner.

 Race Notice for  Saturday 10 August: "Due to forecasted severe adverse weather, and in order to ensure the safety of all athletes, staff, spectators and guests, Cowes SailGP will not proceed with racing on Saturday, August 10. Click here for more information."

Vendee Globe Video Update: Thomson's Lead Narrows Due to Collision

Video above published Nov 20, 2016: The summary of this 15th day of race.

Data revealed today from Vendee Globe HQ shows that Thomson, the sole Briton in the singlehanded round the world race, had sailed 535.34 nautical miles when the starboard foil of Hugo Boss was ripped off by a submerged object yesterday: "The distance sailed by Thomson is actually greater than that set by reigning Vendee Globe champion and current record holder François Gabart, who notched up 534.48 nautical miles in the 2012/13 edition of the race. However the official rules of the record state it must be broken by one whole mile in order to be recognised – and Thomson's distance falls short of that by just 259 metres." -- Thomson and Gabart are now tied for the record.

All on the line for final Super Sunday in Japan:

Video above published Nov 19, 2016: With just one more day of racing left in the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series, the overall series lead remains up for grabs.

On Saturday, ORACLE TEAM USA posted improving results over the course of the afternoon, with a 4, 2, 1 scoreline, leaving the defending America's Cup champion just one point off the lead.

"I think we have to come out tomorrow and go as hard as we can. It's so difficult to push one boat back but if there are any opportunities we'll take them."

Team ETNZ: No Wind in New York on Day 1, Saturday, May 7, 2016: There were barely fits and starts in New York on Race Day one. Not enough wind to counter the strong Hudson current made for an entertaining race day.

Where to Watch the America’s Cup in New York - The New York Times: "The America’s Cup sailing races will be held in New York City, for the first time since 1920, on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8. Officially called the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series, the event is a preliminary competition among the six countries — the United States, Britain, France, Japan, New Zealand and Sweden — competing in the 35th America’s Cup, held every four years, in Bermuda next June (2017); the teams race on boats that are about 45 feet long and have a 70-foot-high mast, according to the America’s Cup commercial commissioner, Harvey Schiller. “Watching these vessels speed through the water is quite a spectacle,” he said. No tickets are necessary to view the races. They take place rain or shine and will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday on the Hudson River. Spectators can take in most of the action in areas in and around Battery Park City..."

All 17 teams headed offshore on Sunday Sept 13 for the first day of official practice of the 2015 Rolex Invitational Cup. On board with Team New York Yacht Club, the team showed that they are working hard to together, bringing their winning precision and perfection to the water to grab the event's prestigious trophy.

2015 Invitational Cup: "September 12-19, 2015 Newport, Rhode Island - The Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup is a biennial event hosted by the NYYC in Newport, Rhode Island in September at its Harbour Court Clubhouse. The Invitational Cup is a regatta for yacht clubs from around the world and their sailors. It has become an important Corinthian (amateur) sailing competition. The racing is in NYYC Swan 42s – the eighth one-design class created by the New York Yacht Club since 1900. Seventeen teams from 11 countries and five continents will be competing in the 2015 Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup.
